Going Downhill

A couple days ago, I had one of my worse blonde moments. I had to use "the blonde excuse" when I was trying to get the snow off the roof of my car. It snowed a couple days ago, I guess I should have said that first. Anyway, my car had a few inches of snow on it and it was warm out so it was slowly melting, creating a non-stop stream of water down my windshield. It was one of those in-between windshield wipers moments, where having them on makes them squeak because it's too dry, but having them off gets me really OCD about the water droplets in front of my face. I know I'm a little neurotic, but anyway, I decided to get the snow off the roof by stopping short in a parking lot (don't worry, nothing dangerous). Before doing this, I had the brilliant idea of opening the sunroof a crack. My sunroof opens the normal way, but if you press the button forward rather than back, it just angles forward so that it's opened a crack in the back. I thought that this would make the snow slide forward and off of the car. It didn't and, of course, I forgot to close the sunroof. When I got to the parking lot, I made sure no one was around and hit the breaks pretty hard to get the snow to slide off the car. It worked, except rather than falling off the front of the car, it fell in the car through the crack in the sunroof. Brent and I got covered in icy cold slush. I wish I could say this is the first time this has happened to me....

The day wasn't all bad, though, because Brent took me to a burger place in Avon, where he lives, called Five Guys Burgers and Fries:

They had the best burgers I have ever ever had, and I have had a lot of burgers in my lifetime. Apparently it's a chain, so if you find one in your area, definitely go.

Later that night, Brent and I were cold so we decided to go get hot chocolate at a local diner. When the hot chocolate came out, Brent's had an enormous mountain of whipped cream on top. I asked Brent not to eat any yet because I wanted to get a picture, but he got excited and stuck his face in it before I could get my camera:

I swear he's five years old.

After hot chocolate, we came back to school and got to bed early because we were skiing the next morning. Here's the last picture I took, it's of the statue we pass on the way to school. I thought it looked cool in the snow:

Yesterday, Brent and I went skiing at Ski Sundown in New Hartford, CT. It wasn't a very long drive and we had a really nice day. Hardly anyone was there because it was just a random Tuesday so there were no lines for the chair lift or anything. I brought my camera with me but, very uncharacteristically, forgot to take any pictures! Oh well. You can check out the website if you want to see what it's like.

Well that's all for now. Today was our first day back to classes (we had Monday and Tuesday off) so I've been super busy but will hopefully find something fun to post about soon. Goodnight everyone!

Ok, please. Come to Brooklyn for the Dumont Burger. You will never be the same. Their burgers have made me a better person in general.

I've been there, before the Madonna concert, remember?

Ooooooo yeah. And you say this burger is better than the Dumont burger?

Hmmm I don't know. I'll have to taste test them both again.
