Sundown Saloon
Right after the family party in Marblehead, I went with Brent to New Hampshire where his parents grew up. His grandparents own a beautiful inn, the Town & Country Motor Inn, where we stayed for the weekend. I got to meet almost all of Brent's extended family which was really nice because in the past three years that we've been dating, I've heard so many stories without faces to put to the names.
I don't have a lot of pictures, but I did take these two on Saturday night when we were all dancing in the lounge where a live band was playing.
Brent and his cousins Danny and Liz:

For some reason Danny and Brent were twirling each other:

This is sort of a mixed up entry because I have so much to update, so here are some old pictures of the bunnies that I never got around to posting.
Playing with their new tunnel:

Frisky, the best little kitty in the whole world:

And finally, the pictures from Sundown Saloon. A few days before going to Las Vegas, my friends and I met up at Sundown Saloon on Greenwich Ave. for drinks.
Brent, Me, Kristina, and Alberto:

Vanessa, Nicole, Sarah, and Jason:

Sundown has brown paper covering all the tables with crayons so that you can draw while you eat/drink. Here's Brent's pirate:

Kristina, Me, Sarah, Nicole, Molly, Vanessa, and Cathy:

Anyway, I have a couple random places I have to post all our summer pictures before everyone gets upset with me, but there will be more on the way soon!
Goodnight!

Family Reunion in Marblehead, MA
My dad's side of the family all grew up in Marblehead, MA and starting last summer, my Uncle Stud and Susie throw a family BBQ for everyone in July at their beautiful waterfront home back in Marblehead. In case you missed it last year, you can check out my July Archives.
Anyway, here are the pictures.
Jocelyn, Uncle Stud, and Staci (one of my cousins):

My cousin Seth and his wife Julie:

Uncle Hugh and Tyler, my second cousin (Seth and Julie's son):

Seth and Julie's older son, Jonathan:

You'll notice that there are a lot of pictures of Jonathan and Tyler because 1) they're super cute and 2) they love having their picture taken as much as I love taking pictures and that says a lot!
Dad, Aunt Anne, Uncle Stud, and Aunt Susan:

Tyler, Julie, Uncle Hugh, and Jonathan playing croquet:

Girl Cousins: Jocelyn, Me, Staci, and Alison:

Uncle Stud and my dad at the grill:

Bottom: Me, Jocelyn, Julie, Tyler, Jonathan, Seth, Uncle Hugh, and Uncle Stud:

Tyler, Jonathan, Alison, and Seth playing tag:

This now starts the series of pictures of Jonathan and Tyler posing all over the yard. Before anyone tries to tell me that I should leave people alone and stop following them around with my camera, it was their idea!

I don't know why everything looks so green here:

Tyler and Jonathan made some really cool pictures by waving their flashlights around while my camera was on a long exposure:

Well that's all I've got! Just so everyone knows, if you want a copy of any of my pictures, all you have to do is click on the picture you want and it will take you to my Flickr account. Look on top of the picture for a little magnifying glass that says "All Sizes" and click it then click "Original" and then right above the picture click "Download the Original Size" and you can save it to your computer to have for yourself and/or print later.
Come back soon for tons more pictures!

M Shanghai
Obviously my entries are switching around a little bit because this was actually before Las Vegas and recently appeared on Rock Star Diary in vegas vegas vegas. Anyway, the night before leaving for Las Vegas, I went to M Shanghai for dinner with Jocelyn, Tim, Alice, and Darren.
Tim, Jocelyn, Alice, and Darren:

And the cool chandelier at THE Hotel:

That gets me caught up with all the miscellaneous pictures I hadn't posted yet from my Flickr account but new pictures will be up ASAP!

Rehab
While still staying at THE Hotel, Jocelyn, Paul, Hunter, Amy, and I walked over to the Luxor to check out all the Egyptian stuff:

Back at THE Hotel, here's a picture of Paul and Jocelyn at THE Chapel:

And in front of the Andy Warhol stuff:

Last exciting moment at THE Hotel was riding the elevator with The Bangles.
Here's our room at the Hard Rock Hotel the next day:

I wish I had taken a picture of our amazing suite at THE Hotel also, but I didn't remember to. I'm sure you can find one on THE website though.
People watching in Vegas is always entertaining:

We went to Rehab all day Sunday. Rehab by the pool, that is. For those of you who don't know, it's a huge pool party Sundays at the Hard Rock pool. Here's Paul going down the water slide:

And getting his awesome Marc Jacobs flip flops out of the water:

These guys drunkenly paraded themselves all around the pool and were actually mildly entertaining:

We're almost positive this is a guy... or was a guy:

Two random Brazilians who wanted Jocelyn to take their picture:

Later on, Paul wearing Pink Taco undies:

Jocelyn playing Wheel of Fortune, her favorite game:

After the casino, we went out to my very first gay bar. I got hit on by a lesbian which was very flattering, but I declined her advances. Here's the key to the women's bathroom. I'm really slow and Jocelyn had to explain to me why this was funny but I'm sure you'll all get it:

Black and white picture of Paul and Jocelyn at Hofbräuhaus, a really ridiculous German bar/restaurant where they wear lederhosen and play the accordion:

I walked through the main dining room to go to the bathroom and couldn't contain my laughter at the sight of this:

The guy on the accordion looks SO happy.
Don't be mistaken by our position on the street corner, we're still hotties not hookers:

Well, that concludes my trip to Las Vegas! Check out Jocelyn's blog if you just couldn't get enough.

Lost Wages
On the flight over to Las Vegas, the pilot came over the loudspeaker and welcomed us to the city of Lost Wages. He was definitely right.
Jocelyn and Paul in front of the House of Blues:

Amy with Hunter's aunt who lives in the area and stopped by:

Jocelyn and Me in the House of Blues:

Keep checking back, I have a lot more to go!

Hottie or Hooker
I'm titling this entry after the game Jocelyn and I played the entire time we were in Vegas, Hottie or Hooker. There are so many scantily clad "ladies" in Vegas that we tried to guess (usually based on the age of their date) if they were giving it out for free or getting something in return. I don't think I actually have any good Hottie or Hooker pictures for this entry, just thought it would be a fun title.
For our first dinner, we went to rumjungle where we had an amazing dinner surrounded by fake waterfalls and lots of fun decor. I had the rumjungle drink and a large shot of something bright red on the house because it was my 21st birthday celebration.
Jocelyn's friends from California, Amy and Hunter, who surprised us in Vegas:

View from the top of THE Hotel at a lounge called Mix:

Later on...
Hunter, Me, and Jocelyn out at the Mirage where we got in VIP to the club JET:

The next day, we went to the pool at Mandalay Bay where we sat out by the lazy river and got great tans:

Jocelyn by the Andy Warhol art in THE Hotel: And finally, the family bubble bath: More soon!

So, Jocelyn took me to Las Vegas for my (belated) 21st birthday and it's amazing! I'm going to continue updating Europe pictures all summer until I'm done but I'm not going to be able to ignore my current life just to get caught up on Europe. Anyway, Jocelyn and I are staying at THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay for the first two nights and The Hard Rock Hotel for the last night. When we arrived in Las Vegas, we checked into our hotel room which is ENORMOUS and amazing. There's a living room with a huge sitting area, an office area, a flat screen TV, a full wet bar, and a bathroom... then there's the bedroom with another TV and a huge wall of glass to look out of. There's another bathroom off of the bedroom that has a separate room for the toilet, a huge room with a giant mirror, a gigantic bath tub, and a shower. Oh, and another flat screen TV mounted on the wall. Anyway, it's awesome. After getting settled, we went to a private pool party where the girls go topless! Jocelyn and I didn't because we're not skanky so we don't need to, but we took a lot of pictures to share! Someone actually came over and yelled at us and tried to get us to delete our pictures but I pulled a fast one on him and managed to convince him that there weren't any more pictures on my camera. Anyway, here's what we saved. This wasn't even a fake candid shot: Check out Jocelyn's blog for the exact same pictures (we're sharing this weekend) but with her take on the day!

Just to preface this entry a little bit, as I wrote this and attached my pictures, I realized that it's extremely repetitive because so many of my pictures are of the same things. Usually, before uploading pictures onto Flickr for my blog, I go through them all and try to take out as many repeats as I can part with but this time I was in a rush and didn't even edit anything on Photoshop, so this is definitely not going to be the greatest entry regarding pictures. Anyway.... I'm finally home and back to posting! I know it's been way too long and I'm sure at least half of you have given up on me entirely, but I promise I have a lot to post now. Getting back to where I left off with London Intro.... Brent and I flew from Rome to London which became our favorite city in the world. From the airport, we got on a train that took us right into the city. The views out the windows were absolutely gorgeous. Everything was just so green. I was taking these pictures through the window of a moving train so that's why this one is so bad: London has the greatest taxis in the world, by the way. They're very spacious, have all sorts of personal comfort settings, and every driver speaks perfect English. Also, they're just way cuter than New York taxis: Escort services in almost every phone booth we saw: After wandering around our first night there after our terrible hostel that we checked out of immediately followed by a very mediocre Holiday Inn, we headed to the hotel that Brent's dad had booked for us with his amazing hotel points in Knightsbridge, London. On the way, we stopped for waffles: We got to the Sheraton Park Tower and were absolutely blown away by the gorgeous room we got on the top floor: Brent's eye (playing with my new macro lens): Every city in Europe seemed to have one of these chariot statues on top of something: I felt sort of bad for these guys considering how many stupid pictures people try to take with them every day: These guys made me think of the movie Hot Fuzz which was hilarious, by the way: That's the London Eye in the distance, the largest observation wheel in the world: I got really into taking pictures of things in Brent's sunglasses. I thought it would be fun to do an entry of just sunglasses after I get caught up with all my posts: Watch out for the Jesus army, I hear they're ruthless: Brent taking a picture of a pigeon: I look so grumpy. I think it's because we were lost and Brent wasn't folding the map properly: With a sign like this, how could we not check it out? We didn't find any horses kicking, biting, or otherwise, though. I don't know why we were so fascinated by everyday things that were different from home: It randomly started raining (as it quite often does in England) so we went into a local pub for some fish and chips (my first ever!) while we waited out the storm: Ok, I can say this because I am a woman so it's not being sexist... but of course the monument to the women of World War II is a wardrobe: Brent making important phone calls: I take a lot of pictures of the same thing... sorry: Top of the Parliament building: A very silly war protest with lots of 60 year old hippies singing and playing guitar: I apparently have an obsession with reflection pictures. This is not a very good one though: I would imagine this was once a church steeple before becoming a gazebo: Brent at Westminster Abbey: I don't know what building this is, but it was across the street from Westminster Abbey: Well that's all I have uploaded for now. This covers about half of our first day of touring around London. The second half of that day brought us to the London Eye which could be an entry in and of itself. Anyway, I'll post more later.

So I'm currently on my Sidekick blogging just to let you all know what's going on. I got home from Europe Wednesday night, left for a family party in Marblehead, MA on Thursday morning, and am now on my way to Brent's house to go to New Hampshire to meet his extended family this weekend. I'll be back to blogging Sunday though!

So Brent and I ran into the set of the Woody Allen movie being filmed in Barcelona today! It was on La Rambla, a street in Barcelona, and seems to be starring Scarlet Johansson. I can't say much about what was going on other than that Scarlet Johansson was pretending to be taking pictures while walking around on the open market style street. Brent and I took a ton of pictures, the Woody Allen ones are mostly taken by Brent and the Scarlet Johanssen ones by me. He's in there somewhere (this is the one I took of him and I was way too short to see): We spent the rest of the day at the beach getting a tan and playing in the enormous waves and now that it's 8pm here (where does the time go?) we're going to shower off and go to dinner. Anyway, I hope you all have had a great beginning of summer and I'll be home from my trip and blogging more regularly tomorrow night!

OK, I realize that I should be getting the worst blogger EVER award for never posting, but there is no internet ANYWHERE!!! There are a ton of overpriced internet cafes and a lot of hotels that CLAIM to have internet (but never really do) so I at least have an excuse...sort of. Anyway, Brent and I are having an amazing time on our trip. We´re currently in Barcelona where we spent a day at the beach and have seen a lot of Gaudi architecture which is amazing. Tomorrow we might go to a different beach where, if there are good waves, we might rent surf boards for a few hours. I only have eleven minutes left of internet, so I´m going to try to post something interesting, but I don´t work well under pressure! So to sum up our trip in what is now 10 minutes and 30 seconds (pictures to come soon I hope!).... Brent and I had an amazing time in Rome where we were studying art conservation (it´s an art class that counts for our science requirement!) We saw almost everything that Rome has to offer and took thousands of pictures (I´m not even exaggerating). After Rome, we flew to London which we both absolutely loved. It got off to a rough start (as described in my not-so-recent last entry) but ended up being fantastic. We saw all the usual sights, ate fish and chips, and spoke in fake British accents. From London, we went to Berlin which was really stupid. I´m sorry to everyone out there who might be from Berlin, but it´s just a stupid city and I highly recommend you move immediately. The food made me cry and the people didn´t seem to like us very much. Also, there was almost nothing to see anywhere. We still did our best to enjoy ourselves and succeeded in seeing Knut, the most adorable baby polar bear in the world, at the Berlin Zoo. After Berin, we flew to Paris which was beautiful. We went to the top of the Eiffel Tower and had a view of the entire city, we got into the Louvre with NO LINE AT ALL, and we saw everything in between. The food was great, the people didn´t hate us nearly as much as we expected, and our hotel (Le Meriden Etoile) was wonderful. From Paris we flew to Prague which was very Eastern Europeany. Also, they add the letter ¨Y¨ to lots of English words to make the Czech which seems a little ridiculous to me. The city was really cool, the food was pretty good, and the pickpockets were utterly incompetent. We also went to Cesky Krumlov which is the village where the movie Hostel was filmed. It was a really cool village and no one tried to torture and kill us! From Prague, we flew on the most terrifying flight of our lives to Barcelona where the weather is beautiful and the sights are very different from anything we´ve seen so far (Gaudi was definitely a very unique architect!) Well, my time seems to have run out but I´ll hopefully be posting soon! Hope you enjoyed the update!

Hey everyone. I have almost no time left here at the internet cafe in Barcelona. The trip is great and Brent and I are spending a lot of time here at the beach. If I can get wireless to work in our hotel room I´ll post pictures soon! I just wanted you all to know I´m still alive!
