Update

So here's my Diagnose Me Update. I still have pretty much all my old symptoms, but the throat thing is getting a lot worse. Randomly, my whole throat will swell up and it feels like I'm trying to swallow over a huge lump. It will stay that way for about 15-20mins at a time and then go back to normal (usually leaving me feeling pretty hoarse for a little while). Everything I've looked up online points to thyroid disease... thoughts anyone?

Just in case it isn't my thyroid... I've been seeing every specialist on the planet getting all sorts of weird tests done. On Monday, I got to wear this sexy contraption around all day:

It's called a Holter monitor and it basically takes a 24 hour EKG. I had all sorts of wires attached to me all day which was super embarrassing. I think I left my room twice, both times wearing two layers of jacket to cover my wires and gigantic beeper box.

There were five of these attached all over my chest:

Thanks again for everyone's comments and ideas! The Diagnose Me entry actually helped a lot and I think I'm headed in the right direction to getting a diagnosis... I hope. This has been going on for weeks now!

Have they done an ultrasound on your throat?

Hey Cupcakes,

I had to do the exact same thing with the little "journal." It really made me take a serious look at my lifestyle, having to write down EVERYTHING I did for a day. My entire journal was "sitting, watching tv, lunch, watching tv, dinner, sitting, reading a magazine, sleep." It was pretty pathetic. Anyway, I'm curious what "PVC" is. What were your symptoms? I'm starting to wonder if maybe the reason why I have so many crazy symptoms is that I have multiple issues, not just one. I'm fairly certain something is wrong with my thyroid (no I haven't had the ultrasound yet though - hospital red tape is IMPOSSIBLE) but I think I might have something going on with my heart too. Thanks for all the help!
