Twilight In Paris

All of the pictures in this entry were taken while Brent and I walked back to our hotel from the Louvre. Paris at night is absolutely beautiful and I miss it so much, looking at these pictures.

The ferris wheel gets lit up at night:

Even the random streets we walked down were beautiful:

Brent and Me with the Eiffel Tower:

I'm not sure if you can see it very well in this picture, but at a certain time of night, the Eiffel Tower starts twinkling with little white lights all over. I have a video of this too, but I can't get any of my videos to upload on Google Video so I don't know what to do!

I tend to take some morally ambiguous pictures. This may be one of them:

The gypsies were probably the worst in Rome and Paris, where they will practically assault you in the middle of the street to get money. Some are smarter, though, and set up little shops on the sidewalks selling things they've made and I think that's fantastic! I saw this one man who was amazingly talented and could take just one reed and twist and tie it up into the most beautiful Christmas ornaments I've ever seen (If I had any way of traveling with these, I would have bought ten). Provide a service! It really pays off! Also, do not drag your drooling babies into the street to have them beg with you. This reassures me that you're a bad parent, not worth the Euro in my pocket. I also will not reward you for self-inflicted injuries and deformities (yes, we know you cut your own foot off to get money, the gig is up!) I guess that's enough for now. I'm sure a lot of you think I'm a terrible person, but those of you who have traveled Europe know exactly what I'm talking about!

I clearly took this picture while quickly crossing the street, but I kind of like the way it came out:

That's all for now but I have so much more to come!

How beautiful Paris is at night! Does it seem to have more space around the buildings than NYC or are the buildings just older and more beautiful?

M - Paris was so beautiful at night! The buildings are 1) older 2) more beautiful and 3) definitely more spaced out and. Also, NYC is such a "tall" city while most European cities are quite short

Jocelyn - Thanks! I'll be posting about Playa del Carmen soon!

Cupcakes - I'm feeling ok but I still feel like I'm going to pass out a lot. I just got an ultrasound of my throat to check my thyroid and hopefully I'll be hearing back about that soon!
