Lakeside Diner - Stamford, CT

A few days ago, my grandparents called up and invited my mom and me out to lunch at a real, old fashioned diner. Of course we said yes, and off we went to the Lakeside Diner in Stamford, CT, just off the Merritt Parkway.

The Lakeside Diner is just that, a lake-side diner, with an entire wall of windows for viewing the lake while dining:

Incidentally, the Lakeside Diner was also one of the filming locations for the recent movie, College Road Trip (one of the ever-important tidbits of trivia I picked up on Wikipedia).

Outside the large windows, not only do you get a view of the lake, but of a charming homemade birdhouse and, of course, a plastic alligator nailed to a tree:

I'm sure we'll return again soon, I hear they have unbeatable pancakes!
